How does burnout manifest itself?

Burnout is a state of exhaustion caused by a constant high workload. Those affected feel driven and have the impression that they are not doing enough. This leads to restlessness, irritability, sleep disorders and constant thoughts about the job. Increased susceptibility to infections and physical complaints such as headaches and stomach aches can also occur.

What can you do about burnout?

If the stress continues, a state of extreme exhaustion and depression can occur, giving rise to the feeling that "nothing can be done anymore". Burnout is not an official diagnosis, but is often similar to depression or anxiety disorders, which is why psychotherapy is recommended. Coaching is another option.
